(EW Carballo), a cogeneration plant that uses heavy fuel oil as the main fuel in its two Deutz engines, model BV 16 M640, has been using products developed by the RB BERTOMEU S.L company, highlighting the use of the "rb bertomeu" beco F-Plus Concentrated additive and the "rb bertomeu" beco F1/ASF Concentrated additive. These additives have been used for over 20 years with very positive results on the engine components where combustion occurs, as well as on the exhaust ducts, especially the exhaust valves and turbochargers. At present, the additive recommended by RB BERTOMEU S.L. continues to be used at the concentrations specified by them, depending on the composition of the fuel oil received at the facility. This will continue until the end of the useful life of fuel oil usage at the plant, projected for late 2024. The additive recommended by the company RB BERTOMEU is still used today S.L. in the concentrations indicated by them according to the composition of the fuel oil that is received at the facility and will continue to be used until the end of the fuel oil's useful life in the installation by the end of 2024. (Translated from original letter) ENERGYWORKS CARBALLO E15100 CARBALLO - La Coruña – (Spain) 16 June 2015 Dear Sirs, Hereby, we certify that in 2002 we successfully finished the test carried on in collaboration with the Deutz BV 16M640 engine manufacturer, the additive manufacturer BERTOMEU and EWCR, owner of the Deutz BV 16M640 engine with serial number 010081 in order to try to extend the TBO of the exhaust valves, setting our goal to extend it from 3,000 to 6,000 hours. Since then, we have used regularly and continuously the additive Beco F1/ASF, obtaining in these 13 years some very beneficial results, especially in exhaust valves in turbos. In the case of exhaust valves we could extend the operation life up to 30,000 hours, more than doubling the estimated life suggested by the manufacturer. Our engines have currently reached 74,000 hours of operation, having been replaced 2 sets of exhaust valves and being installed the third one with about 12,000 working hours. The last TBO, because of installation needs, was made after 7,200 working hours, having made some maintenace work on about 10% of them before reaching this point. We currently use the additive beco F1/ASF with a dose of 0.5 L per ton of fuel oil. We authorise the exhibition of this letter as a reference for any purpose. The installation where we are using the above mentioned fuel oil Additive is our Co-generation Plant of Carballo , which is equipped with 2 engines DEUTZ model BV 16 M 640 , where we have been able to doubling the normal TBO of exhaust valves maintenance, thanks to the anticorrosion action of "rb bertomeu" beco F1/ASF additive.
